President Felix Tshisekedi of the DRC recently made a state visit to Namibia to meet President Hage Geingob with the purpose of strengthening ties to the Southern African Development Community ( SADC). The Congolese president was well received and we can hope that this friendship will be sound and strong. President Tshisekedi mentioned the problem of militant groups in the DRC that despite the long presence of MONUSCO, continue to be a roadblock to peace and development. Perhaps Namibia, the long-term friend of the Congolese, will be involved once again in the DRC? It is time MONUSCO left the DRC, high time.
