On the Ground News from Uganda
As popular unrest grows in Uganda against the charade of Ugandan democracy, people are demonstrating in the streets in protest against Pres. Museveni`s latest move to secure himself a life presidency to match that of his bed-fellow in crime and brother dictator in Rwanda, Paul Kagame.
Allegedly Pres Museveni is bribing members of parliament with 800 million Ugandan Shillings to amend the constitution and remove the age limit. Uganda`s parliament is corrupt. Allegedly most MPs are planning not to stand after their term and are investing their gains in property outside of Uganda.
“Our nation has been sold to the highest bidder in
Parliament. Its up to us to fight for what is left.”
Demonstrators are telling the people to go to parliament and demand 200million Ugandan Shillings or else every citizen will pour out onto the streets. Let Museveni have his own medicine!
Museveni is terrified that the mass protests will escalate. This will blow the cover for his clean image with the international community.
