A Message for the New Year
Let’s Make This the ‘Year of the New Economic Paradigm’
by Ramasimong Phillip Tsokolibane
31 December 2017
As the leader of the LaRouche movement in South Africa, let me extend to all my wishes for a prosperous New Year. Let me be clear: I am not talking about individual prosperity, in the common sense meaning of that term; I mean, let us resolve to create, in this New Year, the conditions by which all of mankind can prosper and can rise to new levels of human progress. We, each of us, have a lot to say about whether this happens, or doesn’t.
We must collectively resolve to ensure that most of mankind throws off the shackles that bind us to the collapsing trans-Atlantic financial system, the empire of money and speculation, run by the City of London and its Wall Street satrapy. Let us boldly lead the former slaves of this dying pile of economic garbage into the new world of the New Economic Paradigm, whose bright promise is shown in the win-win strategy of China’s President Xi and his Belt and Road Initiative. It is this policy which informs the BRICS alliance, whose leadership our nation, and our President, assume in this New Year, 2018.
For more than a half century, Lyndon LaRouche, the greatest American and arguably the greatest of all leaders of his time, has worked tirelessly to make this moment of revolutionary change possible. He, and his wife Helga, have dedicated their lives to giving mankind the chance to grow into its proper role as the conscious, principal agent for progress in our Creator’s universe. This has earned him the scorn of a global oligarchy that rightly sees such an emerging consciousness as the effective threat to their continued rule and survival.
Mankind moves forward on the backs of great men who dream, whose imagination inspires others to do the same. No amount of repression, no effort to denigrate or degrade can change that. We, in South Africa, know that method to be effective, as we are the living dream of our great father, Nelson Mandela. As we step into this New Year, we have a chance to move closer to the realisation of his dream for our nation to lead Africa out of the enforced underdevelopment of the British empire of money. We must not miss this opportunity, for another may not come again.
With this in mind I appeal to someone who has, in the past, shown little propensity to be more than the lapdog of his British masters. I speak of our would-be new President, Cyril Ramaphosa. You are all but certain to become the President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Ramaphosa, but are you prepared to be the leader our people need? You can show us that you are, by not allowing yourself to be played for a sucker for London and Wall Street. President Zuma has moved our nation to look eastward towards the hope and progress promised by the BRICS. This outlook has already achieved results in the form of new, favorable deals and potential deals for development and nuclear energy.
Think of our future, of Africa’s future, Mr Ramaphosa, and let Mr Zuma play the role he must, as the chairman of the BRICS for this year. You will get your chance to lead, but do not take it at the expense of our future. Do not divide our people, and serve the British imperialists, by trying to separate our nation from its path to the future as defined by the BRICS. If you should attempt this, I can assure you that that destructive act will also lead to the political destruction of your Presidency.
So, let us move forward into the New Year, with the bright hope for a better tomorrow and many even better tomorrows after that. Let us compel our leaders to perform as they must, holding them accountable not merely to our citizens, but to all those whose future they have in their hands. To this, I am committed.
